Picture shows some of those who attend the Multiple Sclerosis Society on a regular basis, witnessing the handover of the keys from RedKite to MS Society’s Bournemouth Chairman Rod Slip for the new minibus at The Osborne Centre.
“After a long concerted effort we finally raised the £33,600.00 to purchase our brand new minibus. With no external funding, our sincere thanks must go to all those who contributed in raising this fantastic sum, in particular the Clothworkers Foundation, Dr Steve Brady (Principal of Moorlands Theological College), Mr Graham Dacre (Dacre Property Holdings) and a local supporter who named the vehicle Jill in memory of her daughter. So many others donated what they could – without them it would not have been possible.”
“We now have five minibuses, driven by volunteer drivers, allowing us to transport many of our members from their homes to enjoy the facilities of the Osborne Centre. It has long been a valuable service to enable those with M.S. to socialise with others and partake of physiotherapy, arts and crafts, hairdressing and a hot lunch cooked on the premises at the Day Centre.”
