Could you be our Public relations officer?

If not, do you know of someone who would be interested?

We need someone to help promote our wonderful centre to the outside world. To contact local papers, radio stations and sometimes TV and let them know of up and coming events and again with reports after events.

Pencil and pad provided !!!!!

Drivers & Driver Escorts

It is appreciated that some carers have little time to drive or assist; but relatives and friends may just be waiting to be asked how they might help! Help with keeping the garages tidy; cleaning vehicles, taking them to the garage for servicing, MOTs, etc also would be much appreciated.

Transport to and from The Osborne Centre is a life line for those unable to make the journey themselves. Volunteer Drivers and Driver Escorts are always in demand. If you can spare 2 or 3 hours a week on a regular basis, are a confident driver with a full-driving licence then we’ll provide all the training and documetation you need to drive one of our minibuses that collect visitors to The Osbourne Centre every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.  If you can’t or don’t want to drive then we’re always after escorts to help the drivers on their routes. Please contact John or Jenny for further information.

Are you an experienced hairdresser with 2 or 3 hours to spare on a Monday?  If so we’d love to hear from you.  Please contact Kay for further information.

General Volunteers

The MS Society Bournemouth is the MS Society’s biggest regional centre and is almost entirely self-funded.  There are many and varied worthwhile jobs for helpers at the Centre! No experience necessary. Our friendly team will make you, your relatives and friends feel at home and you will soon benefit from that feeling we get from being useful.  We are always in need of volunteers so if there’s something you think you could bring to the centre (even if it’s just chatting to our visitors) then please get in touch.

The Branch and Osborne Centre depend almost entirely funds raised locally. Our fundraising team organise many social events, street collections, etc. throughout the year to raise funds. Please contact any member of the committee to find out how you can help this vital work. Contact us
