Carers Officer – Shirley Worner, seconded by Valerie Tanner
I have enjoyed my role as carer’s officer. In the last 12 months I have organised the following events: Cream Teas, Pub social, Segway adventure, Pub Quiz, Cupcake decorating, Spa morning, Christmas meal.
We have seen and met new people, which is lovely. I have lots of other events and ideas for the coming months.

Fundraising Officer – Beryl Bundy, seconded by Rod Slip
Beryl work tirelessly for the branch, mostly behind the scenes sorting incoming clothes and bric a brac. Together with her daughter Kay, she organise Quizes, Fayres, Dinners and much much more. Her aim is always to make as much money as possible to keep our wonderful centre going. (written by Jenny)

Membership Secretary – Velda Payne, seconded by Rod Slip
Velda is our very much needed membership secretary, keeping numbers, addresses, and emergency contact details all up to date. Velda also stands in as Cashier when needed, collects lunch money and most of all helps our treasurer in so many ways. (written by Jenny)

Members Representative – Jane Lindsay, seconded by Beryl Bundy
Jane represents our members on the Committee. She is our president’s wife and is always very involved in all decisions that affect all our members with MS. She attends as many fund raising events as she can and is always very supportive to the Centre. (written by Jenny)

Secretary – Jenny Alderson, seconded by Rosemary Wrixson
I write up the minutes, send out agendas, write a few thank you letters and generally do lots of secretarial things. I also organise several fund raising events each year and I am part of the support team.

Statutory Liaison Officer – Tim Worner, seconded by Jenny Alderson
I have been involved with the branch for many years, this last year I have been keeping in touch with changes at the Dorset MS Service (previously Poole MS Service) and in the process of setting up a steering group with them. I have represented the Branch at many talks regarding research and students at Bournemouth University.
I have been and will be helping oversee the Branch newsletter with appointment of the new editor, Ron Watson.
I have kept Service Level Agreements up to date with Physio Service by getting expert help as National Centre could not help and CAB reports which continues to help people with MS in present difficult times.
I keep the Branch Facebook page up to date.
I involved several Branch Members with genuine researchers with another coming up.

Transport Officer – John Astley, seconded by Jenny Alderson
I have been involved with the Branch for a number of years. I started as a driver, later became transport officer, I then took over as Chairman, and now I am back running the transport. I am also very involved in several fundraising events especially our annual Golf Day.

Treasurer – Julie Quick, seconded by Rod Slip
I am your current Treasurer and would like to continue in the role to see my ideas come to fruition and ensure that our new accounts package completes its first set of accounts.
